TAIWAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Taiwan scholarship is a scholarship established by the Republic of China (Taiwan) to
encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree study programs in
Taiwan. The details of the scholarship are as follows:-
· Taiwan Scholarship Program 2011 (applicants can choose any university in
Taiwan)
This scholarship will allow 10 Malaysians to pursue a Bachelor, Master or
Doctoral Degree of their choice at any university in Taiwan starting from
September 2011. The award period for each study program varies as follows:
1. Undergraduate program: maximum 4 years, monthly stipends NT$25,000
2. Master’s program: maximum 2 years, monthly stipends NT$30,000
3. Doctoral program: maximum 3 years, monthly stipends NT$30,000
4. All successful scholarship candidates can choose additional pre-degree
Mandarin Language Enrichment Program (LEP) for 1 year with monthly stipends
NT$25,000
** Applicants must apply to universities by themselves. The application deadline
is 31 March 2011.
· Huayu Enrichment Scholarship 2011 (HES)
This scholarship is provided by Ministry of Education of Taiwan and will allow 2
Malaysians to have study opportunities for Mandarin and Taiwan’s culture at
university–or college-affiliated Mandarin training centers starting from September
2011. A stipend of NT$25,000 is to be offered to a recipient by month.
** Applicants must apply to university-or college-affiliated Mandarin training
centers by themselves. The application deadline is 31 March 2011.
· Short Term Research Award
This award, also provided by Ministry of Education of Taiwan, encourages totaled
20 to 40 international including Malaysian to undertake short term research from
2 to 6 months, with a monthly stipend of NT$25,000 together with an economy
round way air ticket, beginning on January 1st and ending on December 31st in
compliance with the current fiscal year.
· TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Programs 2011
(applicants can only choose from 16 cooperative universities and specific
department)
This scholarship is provided by TaiwanICDF (Taiwan International Cooperation
and Development Fund ) and will allow Malaysians to pursue a Bachelor, Master
or Doctoral Degree in 16 cooperative universities and their specificdepartments. All programs are taught in English. Taiwan ICDF will provide airfare
to Taiwan, dormitories, tuition fee and monthly allowance as follows:
1. Undergraduate’s Program: monthly allowance NT$12,000
2. Master Program: monthly allowance NT$15,000
3. Doctoral Program: monthly allowance NT$17,000
** Applicants must submit the Medical Report with ICDF Logo.
